Location
If you’re only here for a couple of nights, the last thing you want is to have to commute in and out of the city to enjoy the best of Dublin. Ashling Hotel is based a short walk from the centre of the city, surrounded by restaurants, shops, museums, galleries and the biggest park in Dublin, Phoenix Park. Guest Rooms
European hotel rooms are notoriously small when compared to US rooms. We have much less space than the vast ground in the USA and there are limits to how high we can build, leading to relatively cosy rooms. The Luas practically passes our front door, alongside dozens of bus routes making onward travel easy. We’re a five-minute walk from the main train station in Dublin so you can get to your next stop quickly. Ask any taxi driver in Dublin to take you to the Ashling Hotel – everyone knows where we are!
Parking
If you’re travelling around Ireland by car, you’ll likely pick it up in Dublin, a city notoriously expensive for parking. Street parking is limited, and it might mean leaving your car a walk away from the hotel. At Ashling Hotel Dublin, we have secure underground parking available for guests at a reduced cost. Depending on the location for your onward travel, you’ll skip a lot of the city centre traffic and those dreaded one-way systems!
Luas
The Luas is Dublin’s light rail system, getting you from one side of Dublin to the other quickly, cheaply and easily. It’s ideal for exploring all sides of Dublin with minimal walking. The closest stop is a couple of minutes from our 4-star hotel in Dublin 8. It will take you to the O Connell Street shopping district, past museums, parks and so much more. Aircon
While cooling air conditioning is not often needed in Dublin aside from the height of summer, each of our guest rooms in Ashling Hotel has aircon available. It’s more likely you’ll need a heating boost if you’re here outside of summer and each room has a personally controlled system so you can set to your preferred temperature.
