Our chefs have all the ingredients for a happy family stay, serving popular dishes from morning to night. Kids love to start the day in Chesterfields Brasserie where they get to build their own breakfast from our buffet. There are more treats in store at lunch and dinner time when a 3-course children’s menu is served in our Iveagh Bistro & Bar.
Spacious Family Rooms
Stretch out and enjoy the luxury of a full 25 square metres of city centre bedroom space. Hosting up to 5 people, our family rooms have a double bed, two singles, and a place for a rollaway bed or cot. There’s also a seating area, for parents to relax or kids to get creative.

Dublin Zoo
Located in Phoenix Park, Dublin Zoo is Ireland’s biggest family attraction, seeing over one million visitors a year. Founded in 1831 and since then has expanded to a beautiful, 28 hectare zoo full of caring professionals devote their lives to the welfare and care of animals and to understand their needs. This zoo is home to over 400 rare, exotic and endangered animals from all around the world.
Phoenix Park
A day exploring the Phoenix Park is a perfect way for the children to spend energy. Phoenix Park is the largest enclosed public park in any capital in Europe and also home to a wild deer herd that don’t mind visitors but prefer to be in their own company, so it is advised not to disturb them. The park is also home to one of Ireland’s favourite people, Micheal D Higggins, our President. If you’re lucky enough you might catch him outside with his wife Sabina and two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Bród and Misneach.
Viking Splash Tours
Children and adults alike will love the Viking Splash Tour. This is the most fun and educational way to see the sights and history of Dublin both on land and water. Visitors are taken on a mesmerizing tour of Dublin on a huge sight for sore eyes yellow boats. All guests must be at least 18 years old to make a reservation in Ashling Hotel regardless of the booking platform you use. Children and young people under 18 years old are welcome in Ashling Hotel once a parent or guardian is also a resident in the hotel at the same time.
The Hotel reserves the right to request valid photographic proof of identity and age.
