At Ashling Hotel, we continuously strive to adapt and change with our guests’ needs. Our teams are our strength, our vision, and our inspiration. Whilst we applaud and congratulate, Jennifer, Ubaldo, and Ciara on their fantastic achievements in the 2022 Irish Hotel Awards and our teams’ success at Gold Medal Awards, our achievements don’t end there. In 2022, we have been nominated for 10 different accolades and have successfully taken home seven awards.  

We will continue to strive to offer the very best service with a genuine smile, whilst also growing as individuals who show kindness & understanding whenever we can, the true meaning of hospitality.

Business & Conference Hotel of the Year, 2022

The Ashling Hotel has always been associated with conferences and meetings throughout the years. We are delighted that this has been recognised by the Irish Hotel Awards as the Business and Conference Hotel of the Year 2022. Our dedicated meeting suites are constantly evolving and this Summer we completed a refurbishment of our 15 meeting rooms.

Ciara Barry

In October 2022, our very own Ciara Barry was named Marketing Manager of the Year 2022 at the Irish Hotel Awards.
Specialising in rejuvenating and relaunching the Ashling hotel with an innovative sales and marketing plan with over 9 years of experience. Ciara’s wealth of knowledge has had an extraordinary impact on our business. As part of her role as DOS, Ciara manages the team who looks after our conference and meeting rooms.

These prestigious awards celebrate the commitment and dedication of the hospitality industry in Ireland. The Irish Hotel Awards recognise teams who go above and beyond by providing outstanding guest experiences.

Ubaldo Santos

We are delighted that Ubaldo was named Rising Star of the Year 2022 at the Irish Hotel Awards.

A native of Brazil with a background in General Business Management, Ubaldo came to Ireland in 2016 to learn English. He started a part-time position at Ashling Hotel while studying for a bachelor’s Degree in Marketing. Ubaldo progressed from Chief Stewart to front-of-house and hotel operations. In 2022, he undertook a leadership & management program and was promoted to Duty Manager.

Ubaldo prides himself on his work ethic, “It’s really important to me that every guest of the Ashling Hotel has a wonderful experience during their stay, and I pride myself on making sure any queries, special requests, or other such accommodations are supported where possible.

Jennifer Farrell

Following her bachelor’s degree in International Hospitality and Tourism Management in 2014, Jennifer joined the Ashling Hotel on work placement. Some  8 years later we are delighted to still have Jennifer with us, now as our Assistant Front Office Manager.

Jennifer was nominated for Receptionist of the Year 2022 at the recent Irish Hotel Awards. She has a passion for staff development and training while strongly promoting the effectiveness and efficacy of teamwork. Jennifer relishes the opportunity of cross-training and believes – knowledge is power.

She creates a positive working atmosphere for her team and a VIP experience for all guests. As a native of Dublin, Jennifer is proud to promote her city and all it has to offer, especially after having taken part in Failte Ireland’s Dublin Champions Programme in 2016.

Gold Medal Awards

The Gold Medal Awards recognise and reward excellence in hospitality and we are so delighted to have been winners in two categories. Ashling Hotel received Gold Award for “Ireland’s Favourite Place to Stay Leinster” along with Silver for “Outstanding Customer Service Award for our Reservations Team. 

Ashling Hotel was a Finalist in the overall “4 Star Hotel Award”.

Ashling Hotel is delighted to have received a British Airways Holidays Customer Excellence Award for 2022.  We’ve been recognised for taking holidays seriously and providing great experiences that are good for your wellbeing.


Based on unbiased guest reviews, this accolade recognises outstanding services, facilities, and customer experiences offered by hotels around the world.  Ashling Hotel received an overall score of 4.5/5 Stars.
