Customer Care
If you need help with anything during your stay, just ask. To contact our Front Desk team, dial “0” on your room phone or pop down to the entrance lobby and talk to them in person.
Arrival/Departure
Check-in is from 3pm, and check-out is before noon. Ask to use our free Luggage Store service if you need to drop your bags with us and make the most of your time in the city.

Breakfast
Start your day in style and build the breakfast of your dreams from our continental and Full Irish buffet.
The breakfast buffet is served in our main restaurant Monday to Friday, 6:30 am to 10:30 am and Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays, 6.30am to 11am.
To order breakfast in bed, please fill in the Order Tag and hook it onto the outside of your door handle before 4am.
Group Dining
To organise meals for groups of 10 people or more, please contact our events team.
Iveagh Bistro & Bar
Brunch
Enjoy our modern brunch menu from 9am to 12 noon, Monday to Friday.
Lunch & Dinner
Our new seasonal menu is served every day from 12 noon to 9pm. To see the menu and book a table, visit ashlinghotel.ie/bistro-bar. Our popular Evening Specials change every day – ask your waiter for details.
Bar
Kick back and enjoy a drink from one of our local breweries and distilleries. The bar serves from 8am to late Monday-Friday and from 10am at the weekend.
Transport & Tourism
Trams to Dublin City Centre
The ‘Luas’ red line tram gets you to the city centre in just 5 minutes. Take the tram that’s going to ‘The Point’. Our local stop is ‘Heuston’, across the bridge at the train station.
Trams run every 5-10 minutes at peak times. Buy tickets by card or cash at any stop using the machines.
Buses to Dublin City Centre
The nearest Dublin Bus stop is seconds away. Turn right as you exit the hotel and walk 50 metres up Parkgate Street.
All buses travel along the river to the city centre. To return, take the 90 or 145 bus to Heuston Rail Station. A single fare to the city centre costs €2 (it lasts for 90mins, so you can take more than one trip). Drivers take exact change only so please make sure you have enough coins to cover your fare(s).
Buses to Dublin Airport
The Dublin Express bus service runs regularly from nearby Heuston Station to Dublin Airport. Please ask at Reception to confirm times and rates or visit www.dublinexpress.ie
Taxi Service
There is a taxi set-down in front of the hotel. To book a cab with our Reception team, call ‘0’ or drop down to the Front Desk.
Hotel Car Park
As a guest, you get to avail of our special overnight/24-hour Residents Rate. Validate your ticket at Reception when you check-out.
Car Park spaces cannot be reserved and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. The car park gate closes in the evenings but reception will buzz you in when you call 353 1 677 2324. Cars are parked at the owner’s risk but we do all we can to ensure the utmost security.

Bedroom Services
Room Servicing
If you are staying for more than one night and want a room tidy and fresh towels every morning, please advise our Reception team. Use the Housekeeping Form to request extra services.
Laundry
Need to freshen up your outfits? Place an order with our laundry and dry cleaning service.
There’s a form in the desk in your room. Fill it in, drop your laundry bag with Reception before 10:30am and your clothes will be back to you, spick and span, by 12pm the next day. The bill is charged to your room.
Air Conditioning / Heating
To turn on your air-con unit, insert your key card in the power switch beside your door.
You must leave the key card in the switch to keep the air-con running – when you remove your key from the slot the system shuts down.
Use the control panel on the wall to adjust the temperature until it’s just right for you.
Do Not Disturb
Hook your Do Not Disturb sign over your door handle for extra privacy.
Water
Stay hydrated for free – Chilled still and sparkling water is available all day at our water stations. You’ll find them at the lifts on floors G, 2, 4, 5 and 6.
Tea & Coffee
Your room has a kettle so you can enjoy the tea, coffee and biscuits we provide.
Safe Deposit Box
Each of our bedrooms has a safe where you can lock away cash, valuables and laptops.
Key Cards
When leaving your room, always take care to double-check that your door is securely closed.
Cots
If you need a cot for an infant, please contact Reception.
Adaptors
Adaptors are available in the vending machines on the ground and lower ground floors. Guests from the USA can buy voltage converters in the city centre.
Hairdryer
Your room comes with a hairdryer – it’s in the top drawer of the vanity desk.
Ironing
Inside your wardrobe you have an iron and ironing board.
Toiletries
In your bathroom you have hand soap, shampoo and shower gel.
Towels and Blankets
Extra towels, face cloths, pillows and blankets are available on request from Reception.
Hotel and Miscellaneous Services
Defibrillator
There is a defibrillator at Reception. Call ‘0’ immediately to get help from our First Aid team in the case of an emergency.
Doctor
Should you need a doctor, we recommend GP24, a trusted video consultation service. Contact gp24.ie.
Fire Safety
The hotel has an automatic fire detection system with smoke detectors and alarms. Please familiarise yourself with the notice on the back of your bedroom door. The assembly point is opposite the Millennium Bar – turn left on Parkgate Street as you exit the hotel.
Smoker’s Corner
Ashling Hotel is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking in our bedrooms is strictly prohibited and will result in a €200 fine on your bill.
If you really need to let off steam, we have an outdoor smoking area for guests that’s open 24 hours. It’s on the ground floor of our car park, through the back doors of the bar and to the right. Ask at reception for directions.

To make an international call, dial ‘9’ for an outside line then add the access code ‘00’ followed by the country code, area code and local number. Remember to drop the first number of the area code.
Example: Your number is 01234 56789 and you are calling Australia. Dial 9 00 61 1234 56789.
All calls, including calls within Ireland, are charged to your room.
