  • Bloom In The Park

    The Bloom Garden Festival takes place in the Phoenix Park over the June Bank Holiday. The 5 day Bloom In The Park runs from the 30th of May to the 3rd of June and provides show gardens, food pavillion, exhibitors, family entertainment and much more besides to keep you entertained. All of which takes place in the heart of the Phoenix Park beside the OPW Victorian Walled Garden.   • Arthur’s Day Dublin

    Arthur’s Day is celebrated across the world on the 27th of September, but in Arthur’s home town the celebrations are that bit more special.

    Arthur’s Day is a celebration of the history of Guinness in Ireland, with the establishment of the brewery at St. James’s Gate in 1759, with Arthur Guinness signing a 9,000 year lease and the start of a legend began. In 1009 Arthur’s Day celebrations were created to mark 250 years of Guinness in Ireland and has since then become a much anticipated yearly event with activities to mark the Day taking place across the city and indeed in many locations outside Ireland.

    Some of the events taking place this year include Mumford & Sons, Texas, Mika etc with events take place across Dublin, Cork and Belfast.

    The Ashling Hotel is only across the river from St. James’s Gate Brewery and on certain days you can smell the distinctive scent of the hops being brewed.   • Dublin Festival Season

    The Dublin Festival Season kicks-off in September with the Absolut Fringe Festival, which runs from the 8th to the 23rd of September. It is an arts festival with a twist, featuring a mix of music, drama and performance art in a variety of venues in Dublin City. Over 90 artists will perform in over 30 venues across Dublin City over the 16 days that the Festival runs.

    The mix of events will appeal to all types and will amaze and entertain, bringing Dublin City to life during September. Ticket prices are competitive and with the Festival celebrating its 18th birthday the event is bigger and better than ever and well worth attending.

    September is Festival Season in Dublin and other Festivals worth attending include Arthur’s Day, celebrating all that is Guinness on the 27th and Dublin Culture Night on the 21st.

    The Dublin Theatre Festival runs from the 27th of September through to the 14th of October with a great mix of Irish and international theatre. On a literary theme, Mountains to Sea Book Festival runs from the 4th to the 9th of September in Dun Laoghaire. What better time to come to Dublin than during Dublin Festival Season!
