International Award Winning 4 star Hotel Redevelopment

On Wednesday 11th November 2009 An Taoiseach Brian Cowen officially launched the “New Look” Ashling Hotel. The hotel has been an Irish Landmark for over 100 years and after a major investment for redevelopment reputed to be in the order of €20 million the Ashling will continue to welcome guests for many more years to come. The Ashling Hotel has been reborn with a brand new look and due to all this hard work and commitment has recently been reclassified as a four star hotel.

Commenting on the hotel’s redevelopment, Alan Moody, General Manager stated that ‘We are delighted with the hotels new look, and the positive feedback from our guests is absolutely amazing. Despite the difficult times we find ourselves in, we are very positive about the future.’

The Ashling Hotel were presented with the C.I.E International Merit Award 2009, to add to their other achievements of the last year.

Previously the Ashling Hotel was a Best Western Hotel and was presented with the “Highest Quality Hotel ” Award for 2009 in Ireland. The “Best of the Best” is presented within the brand on an annual basis, as recognition of achieving the highest score in Best Westerns independently adjudicated Quality Assurance Assessments.
